This advice holds true in all aspects of life too. Sometimes there’s pain even in listening to one’s spouse or children, but listen one must. It is all too easy sometiimes to “hear,” but not “listen.”

Thanks for the great reminder, Mike. It is so true–listening can be a challenge in all aspects of life. Asking exploratory questions with others in conversation is another tactic for good listening. (WP Admin)
